SigEp partnered with the Netter Center to host a philanthropy event for West Philadelphia High School students on April 18. In line with SigEp's ideal of sound mind and sound body, the event revolved around both athletics and college/career guidance.

Participants began by engaging in a basketball tournament on a reserved court at Pottruck Health and Fitness Center. After two hours of play, they left for SigEp's chapter house, where a panel of brothers answered the high school students' questions about college applications, college life, and career searching.

Overall, the event was a success, and the chapter looks forward to similar events in the future. This was just the first part of a long-term mentorship program that SigEp is developing with West Philadelphia High School. We'd like to especially thank the chapter's Community Service and Philanthropy Chair Andrew Shannon for his work to develop this partnership.
